OVERVIEW
The LA GARD 700 series safe lock range is not just a replacement of the old. It has been designed to build on the thirty plus year legacy of LA GARD electronic safe locks by the addition of modern high security features to counter both today’s and tomorrow’s emerging security threats and attacks.
The tried and trusted features of the LGBasic, Combogard, LG Audit and LG Master have been embodied and built in the LA GARD 700 series.
The LA GARD 700 series has everything you have come to expect in any LA GARD safe lock plus a new modern user interface, enhanced functionality, additional users, and more robust audits, all of which have been coupled with industry leading security technology known as Electronic Manipulation Defence (EMD).
ELECTRONIC MANIPULATION DEFENCE
DIGITAL COMMUNICATION
All communication and functions of the lock are digital as opposed to the industry normal analogue. Digital communication provides further resistance to attacks on the firmware.
KEYPAD TO LOCK ENCRYPTION
The encryption between the two components is to guard against the use of devices that could be used to listen (record) to the key presses in old style analogue safe locks.
UPDATEABLE FIRMWARE
This is designed to allow new firmware to be developed and uploaded to safe locks should the safe lock be compromised by an electronic safe lock manipulation device.
OVERVIEW
EMD is a three-pronged defence against the now widely known potential of electronic manipulation of electronic safe locks. This manipulation can be achieved through listening to keypad resistances to decode the lock or counter the safe locks firmware with electronic devices.
EMD is standard in all LA GARD 700 series locks because the threat of electronic manipulation is now real. We all know from recent history that technology will develop at an ever-quickening pace, so will the ways to electronically defeat electronic safe locks. This is why EMD is so important allowing firmware to be updated to counter future threats as they arise.
The LA GARD 700 range functionality is built on the tried and tested LA GARD safe lock legacy. Now the LA GARD 700 series, thanks to EMD provides industry leading protection against not only the threats we know today but also the emerging threats of tomorrow.
The choice is simple. Opt for a safe lock that has EMD protection or take the risk and the potential consequences of using a safe lock that has already been defeated by electronic manipulation.
In addition to EMD, the LA GARD 700 series includes additional features available in the various models which include:
- Tamper Evident Keypads (Optional): A core component of any high security safe lock and are designed to enhance the effectiveness of EMD. They do this by providing the lock owner of evidence if there is an attempt to bypass the lock via removing the keypad. Be that a conventional brute force attack or a sophisticated electronic attack, the keypad is designed to provide evidence of the attempt.
- Backlit displays in all models to provide simple and precise user feedback. This includes an OLED 1.8” LCD display in several models.
- A vast range of lock and keypad options to ensure a suitable lock configuration for any application.
• High and low profile keypads.
• Swing bolt, deadbolt, latch bolt and redundant lock
options.
• AC power and alarm interface.
- A simple battery draw to make battery replacement simple.
- All recognised applicable security certifications including Vds, UL, EMP.
- Single software platform that will program all models except the 700 Basic which is via the keypad.
• This same software will also update firmware across
all models. - Enhanced number of users.
- In the Audit lock models, more robust audit trails with RTC date stamp.
- Optional 2FA with a Bluetooth FOB in 703 and 704 models.
- Time locking options in the 704 models.
- QR code stickers included with all locks to link users directly to user instructions and how to videos.
