Time delay is widely used in the financial sector in safe locking and the LA GARD 702 Combo is specifically designed for this purpose. In addition, another widely used feature is the use of the duress alarm which allows the user to open the safe but in the case of a robbery, also alerts the authorities via an alarm box and alarm panel.

The LA GARD 702 Combo is the improved replacement for the industry leading LA GARD 33E and 39E that have secured thousands of commercial safes, ATM’s and vaults for the past 40 years all over the world.

The LA GARD 702 Combo safe lock is not just a cosmetic change to the old. It has had a total security overhaul, including encrypted communication between the keypad and the lock, thanks to the inclusion of EMD to counter future electronic manipulation threats, and in addition to this, greater enhanced functionality.

The LA GARD 702 Combo safe lock is a multi-user lock that can be programmed either at the keypad or with a PC. The LA GARD 702 Combo was developed to address the security requirements of a broad range of commercial and industrial markets with four main programmable features;

· Time Delay
· Dual Combination
· Duress (Silent Alarm)*
· Remote Lock out*

The safe lock also has the capability for one optional Time Delay Override code to be programmed. A modern backlit keypad with an easy to use push button access and standard two digit user ID and six digit combination gives 1,000,000 possible permutations, or can even be enabled for up to nine digits per combination.

The LA GARD 702 Combo is available in swing bolt, square bolt or spring bolt and includes high profile and low profile input pads.

BATTERY DRAWER

LA GARD 702 Combo is powered by 2 x 9 volts batteries housed in the keypad. When the low-profile keypad is used, a separate battery box with 2 x 9 volts batteries is fitted inside the container. The L:A GARD 702 Combo can also be powered from the mains with peripheral equipment.

High profile model allows easy access with battery drawer pull out with 2 x 9 volts – works in tandem to prolong battery life.

MASTER MODE

MANAGER MODE

Allows the Manager to add/delete or enable/disable up to 30 additional Users.

CODE HIERARCHY

Master, Manager and up to 30 opening codes. Master code can add, disable and delete users at the lock.

DUAL MODE

Requires the use of two valid combinations to open the lock.

LOW BATTERY SIGNAL

Repeated LED flashing and beeping during opening indicates battery is low and needs replacement.

WRONG TRY PENALTY

Attempting to guess the combination more than 4 times will render the lock inactive for a period of 5 minutes.

TIME DELAY

Entering a valid combination starts the delay period which can be programmed from 0 to 99 minutes. If a staff member is under duress this feature is designed to prevent the lock from being opened immediately. Used together with appropriate business signage, time delay is a widely used deterrent against a hold up.

TIME DELAY OVERRIDE MODE

A time delay override code can be enabled to allow immediate access for an authorised user such as a cash carrier.

DURESS ALARM

Duress alarm (silent alarm) if enabled can interface with an alarm panel by an interface box. The user can trigger a duress alarm while still opening the safe, allowing the authorities to be alerted without alerting the criminal.

LOCK DISABLE

An input signal from an alarm panel via an interface box can be used to disable the lock preventing even valid combinations from opening.

DURABILITY

Environmentally tested from -10˚C to 85˚C

AUDIO AND VISUAL SIGNAL

Double signal
Two LED flashes and two beeps indicates entry is valid or accepted.
Triple signal
Three LED flashes and three beeps indicates invalid or not accepted.
